About the Role
The Production Engineers will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation
of our cement plant. The Production Engineers will be responsible for overseeing the
production process, optimizing efficiency, and implementing continuous improvement
initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology, metallurgy,
mining, chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering, with previous experience in the
industry preferred.
Key responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations of the production process in the cement plant,
including raw material preparation, clinker production, and cement grinding.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Optimize production efficiency and minimize downtime through effective
planning and troubleshooting.
• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands while
optimizing resource utilization.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production output, energy
consumption, and quality metrics to ensure targets are met.
• Analyze production data and trends to identify opportunities for process
improvement and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure product quality meets
specifications and customer expectations.
• Lead root cause analysis investigations for production deviations or equipment
failures and implement corrective actions.
• Support capital projects and process upgrades by providing technical expertise
and project management assistance.
• Prepare reports and presentations summarizing production performance, project
status, and improvement initiatives for management review
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback from
production staff and implementing best practices to enhance operational
efficiency.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality control, and other departments to
maintain smooth operations.
• Train and mentor production staff to ensure adherence to best practices and
procedures
Qualifications and skills
• University degree in Technology, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Mining, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of related experience in a similar role within industry is preferred.
• Commitment to safety, environment, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Proficiency in digital skills (MS Office and other AI tools),
• English proficiency, advanced level of written and verbal English
